This is a unique piece that you don't come across often - the M38 Parsons Field Jacket. While it was first made in 1938, it wasn't officially adopted until 1940. Interestingly, the quartermaster originally classified it as a "wind breaker," with the term "field jacket" coming later.
This beautiful and classic jacket, comes in 2 patterns, the only difference is the color, the early one is tan the second one (like this one) is OD green. Produced only for 3 years is a real gem!
In great shape, only one little repair stitching is present near the right pocket (please see the photos)
Favorite detail is the laundry number still present on the collar.
